Sound Familiar?

You don't need to have it all figured out to reach out.

Most people come to us in the middle of something, not after it's resolved. Wherever you're starting from, that's a fine place to begin.

Anxious, low, or overwhelmed

Stress that won't switch off, low mood, or a mind that feels too loud too often.

Relationship strain

Communication that keeps breaking down, recurring conflict, or feeling distant from your partner.

Big emotions, little control

Intense emotions that are hard to regulate — including for people recommended DBT for mood or personality-related challenges.

Feeling stuck

Low self-esteem, a major life transition, or a sense that something needs to change but you're not sure where to start.

How We Can Help

Three ways to work with us.

Each service is tailored to the person in front of us — never a one-size-fits-all program.

01 — Individual

Counselling & Psychotherapy

For anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions and the everyday weight of just getting through it. Short-term and practical, or longer and more reflective — whatever fits where you're at.

02 — Couples

Couples Therapy

A safe, non-judgemental space for both partners to work through conflict, rebuild communication, and reconnect. Available in person in Crows Nest or together via Zoom.

03 — DBT

DBT Skills & Individual Sessions

Practical, evidence-based tools for managing intense emotions and regaining a sense of control — including for those recommended DBT for BPD or mood-related challenges.

Common Questions

Before you reach out.

What's the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
Counselling tends to be shorter-term and works on a current, practical issue. Psychotherapy is a longer, more reflective process looking at deeper patterns over time. Many clients move between the two — we'll help you work out what fits.
How do I know if I need therapy?
There's no single sign. Common reasons people reach out include ongoing stress or low mood, difficulty regulating emotions, relationship strain, a big life change, or simply feeling stuck. If it's on your mind, it's worth a conversation.
How often will I need to come to therapy?
Most people start weekly or fortnightly to build momentum. From there, we work with you to find a spacing that suits your situation and goals.
What happens in my first session?
It's mostly about getting to know you and making sure we're a good fit. We'll ask about who you are, what's brought you in, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy — no pressure to share everything straight away.
Can I do therapy online if I don't live near Crows Nest?
Yes. We see clients in person at our Crows Nest rooms and via Zoom for anyone across Australia, including regional NSW and QLD.
Is DBT only for people diagnosed with BPD?
No. DBT is often recommended for BPD or mood-related challenges, but the skills — managing intense emotions, tolerating distress, improving relationships — are useful for a wide range of people.
